LPS Coral Gallery
- Clownfish need a place to host and they have evolved into a symbiotic relationship with various types of anemones. They can survive living in a tank without an anemone but this will cause them stress and unnecessarily tax their immune system. Real anemones are troublesome for a tank as they often move around and wage war on neighboring corals and in some extreme cases, stressed anemones will vomit into the tank, often leading to tank collapse.
- 2022 was known as the year of the torch due to a meteoric rise in popularity. It is estimated that roughly 30-40k torch colonies were imported by the US alone. And it has become common practice to host clowns on various types of Euphyllia such as torches, hammers and frogspawn but clowns do not have a natural immunity to Euphyllia stinging cells. Over time they will develop a protective mucus but this will damage all but large and very healthy Euphyllia colonies. They’re just not right for eachother!
- Though it is currently impossible to replicate euphyllia and anemones because of their soft tissues out of water, careful design and craftmanship can deliver quality representations to life with bright colors and relistic movement.
- Top quality silicone rubber compounds provide the movement that will immediately attract a clownfish pair and all MFC LPS materials are Lab tested and verified nontoxic. Stingers not included.
- LPS polyp head originals are carefully sculpted and tightly grouped and assembled.
- Many shapes and sizes of anemone, Euphyllia and other soft corals are in the works.
- Lightfast fluorescent colors are deeply embeded into a rubber that resists 60 grit sandpaper!
